Day 1
- Arrival at Colombo International Airport and meet with our representative at the arrival lounge
- Transfer to Nattandiya, quant countryside town which is popular for coconut estates, an ideal spot to relax before your food tour in Sri Lanka begins - 1 hour drive approximately
- Dinner and overnight stay at a Horathapola Coconut estate bungalow
Day 2
- Participate in the preparation of a popular local delicacy 'Coconut Rotti' guided by the culinary team at the estate. Enjoy breakfast on the lawn under the shade of the trees.
- A walk around the coconut estate will let you acquire knowledge and firsthand experience of how an organic coconut estate works. You can witness coconut plucking and husking in addition to learning how coconut oil is produced in the nearby coconut processing mill. You can also take a look at how raw cashew nuts are peeled by the village women, a skill to be admired. Day 3

- Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World this ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archaeological significance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. It is perhaps the most visited tourist attraction of Sri Lanka. The fortress complex includes miscellany of a ruined palace, surrounded by a widespread network of fortifications, enormous gardens, ponds, canals and fountains. Since 3th century BC the rocky plateau of Sigiriya served as a monastery. In the second half of the 5th century king Kasyapa decided to construct a royal residence here. This is an important historical experience during your food tour in Sri Lanka.

Day 4

- Indulge in an interesting rural village walk in Sigiriya to experience the traditions and lifestyles of the villagers, the vendors and the inland fisher folk. You can also visit Chena cultivation, regarded as the oldest form of cultivation in Sri Lanka

Day 5

- Visit Dambulla Cave Temple. Dambulla temple has five caves and nearly 150 statues of the Buddha, many paintings on the ceilings and walls that emphasis the artistic talent of ancient days. The history of the caves, rock and temple dates from the 1st century BC. The charm of these caves is not only the statues but also the many complex and delicate paintings that cover the ceiling and walls created with native traditional paints.

Day 6

- Return to the homestay for a hearty breakfast of 'Kiribath' or milk rice
- Join the host in her indigenous kitchen to watch the local spices, which were observed in the morning trail being powdered and processed for cooking. Thereafter participate in preparing a traditional meal of Jak fruit and dried fish.
- Dinner will entail the preparation of lacy String hoppers, another intriguing, yet fun process of pouring rice flour mixture on circular trays using a mold and then steamed to be eaten with curry.
